Airport is clean. It’s much faster to walk in between different terminals than use wikiwiki shuttle.

This was easily the worst TSA experience I’ve ever had. I was instructed to put my wallet and phone inside my already overstuffed carry-on bag, despite there being more than 20 empty trays available at the end of the line. As expected, when TSA opened my bag for inspection, items fell out because it was packed so tightly. Rather than acknowledging the situation, the agents seemed annoyed, even after I explained that the bag was already full.
Airport security is stressful enough, and TSA is supposed to help keep the process organized and efficient. Unfortunately, this experience did the exact opposite and left a very negative impression.

Honolulu’s main airport. Very convenient for flights from out of state or elsewhere. I recommend coming early because they usually have a limited number of TSA screening sections open. It’s a small airport but conveniently located close to Waikiki beach and the most visited part of Honolulu on Oahu island.
Old and dated. Most terminals and gates are open air, so if it’s hot out….its hot in the terminals. Staff is friendly though. Take the Wikiki shuttle between terminals it will keep you from getting too sweaty.
